Building a Creative Game? We Have Some Numbers to Help

It’s often not as easy writing pitches or grant applications to support a game that teaches creativity than it is a math or science game, so we thought this infographic from the folks at Adobe may give you some fodder for your pitch deck.

The data is a bit old — 2012 — but the numbers offer a compelling case for learning creativity inside or outside the formal classroom.

“Around the world, educators are already fostering creative thinking with their students,” Jon Perera, Adobe vice president of education, said in a release. “What this study is telling us is that we need to empower and accelerate this shift. Creativity is a critical competency that should be taught within all disciplines. This will drive the global economy and the career success of the next generation.”

Obviously, Adobe is also making the case for using their products to help teach these skills, but they make a compelling case for apps and games that also teach creativity.
